CSE III and ECE I were on high spirit after they won their previous match. ECE I won the toss and chose to field. Openers, Sumanth and Jeevan stood on the crease with a great confidence after registering a quick win in just 2.3 overs in their last match against MECH I. But ECE bowlers sent big shock wave to the CSE III by sending Sumanth caught out at the covers in the first ball. After a great loss, immediately in the same over Jeevan was bowled. Tension started building up in the CSE III and joy in the ECE I. It was a great loss for the CSE III loosing both their openers in the first over.
Abi and Arun took the responsibilities on them and made a good partnership of 63 runs. Abi made 19 runs and was runout. Prnay and Arun batted for the remaining overs and made a score of 86(pranay=8 and Arun-28), which was the HIGHEST score in the Tournment.
The CSE III batsmen did their job and it’s the turn of the ECE I to face the CSE III bowlers to win with a huge total of 87 infront of them. CSE III bowlers ceased the ECE I for a total of 29 for 8 wickets. Eashwar,Pranay took 2wickets each. Paramechwar and Arun had a Maiden over.Pranay had a spectacular catch. ECE I lost the match with a least score of 29 in the tournment till date. And the winning streak of CSE III still continues:-)
